Rebranding of the DoubleTree Llyod's main restaurant in Portland, Oregon. The project included naming, logo design, and design of all printed collateral.
Since 2008 I've worn a bunch of hats for Kore Group; Lead Designer, Art Director, Brand Director, Photographer, Videographer, Printer Repairman. At every step my role and responsibilities increased, to the point that I'm now Lead Designer and Art Director for Kore Group and its parent company Kaye-Smith, overseeing both companies' brands.
PBSI is (was) a human resource company that takes all the hassle of hiring, payroll and tax prep off a business owner's plate so the owner can focus on the part of their business they're experts in.
After Kaye-Smith aquired Kore Group in 2019, I found myself the Lead Designer for a second company. Then my role expanded even more to the point the I'm now the Brand Director overseeing branding, social media and self-promotion for both companies.
I don't think there's anything that makes a designer question the decisions they've made in life like staring at a blank piece of paper at the start of a logo design project. Some of these fell into place easily, some were like pulling teeth.
There's nothing cooler than walking down the street and randomly seeing a shirt you designed.
